Next session: Thursday 3 July at 3pm — limited to 20 people

Live group workshop

See what AI can actually do for a business like yours

A practical, no-jargon session showing what AI looks like in real businesses. Not a sales pitch. Not a tutorial. A working demonstration, with room for your questions.

Up to 20 people per session — runs every couple of weeks

Most business owners don't know what AI can actually do for them. This is where that changes.

1

We show you what's real

We demonstrate what AI actually does in a business context, using examples from the kinds of businesses in the room. Not hypothetical. Not tech-startup examples. Plumbers, hotels, accountants, retailers.

2

We work through your business

Everyone in the session gets to map their biggest time drains and see where AI realistically fits. You'll leave with a clear picture of what you'd actually do differently, if anything.

3

You decide what comes next

The session is useful on its own. If you want to go further, The SetUp is the next step, but there's no pressure and no follow-up sales call. Take the ideas and run with them yourself if that's the right call.

"I came in not knowing if any of this was relevant to my business. Left with three things I could actually do this week."
What people typically tell us at the end
What the session actually is

Honest about what AI can and can't do

We're not here to sell you on AI. We're here to show you what it does well and what it doesn't, so you can make a proper decision about whether it's worth your time.

We've been building businesses together for over a decade, and more recently we've been using AI tools to help us run them. Luma, our mental health app, now runs almost entirely on AI. We helped the new owners of our coworking space automate their booking and access control after we sold it. We know what works in a real business and what sounds good in a LinkedIn post but doesn't.

The session is 90 minutes. Small group. You'll hear from both of us, see live demonstrations, and have time to ask questions that are actually relevant to your business.

What you leave with

A clear picture of what fits your business

Not a generic AI overview. By the end you'll know which parts of your working week AI could realistically change, and which parts it can't.

At least one thing you can try this week

We design the session so you leave with something practical, not just ideas. Most people walk out with two or three things they can actually act on.

No jargon, no overwhelm

We explain things in plain English for business owners, not developers. If you've never used an AI tool before, that's fine. If you've had a go and didn't get far, also fine.

Honest answers to your specific questions

The small-group format means we have time for real questions. Not just the polished ones, but the sceptical ones too. We prefer the sceptical ones.

90 minutes that could change how you think about the next two years.

This probably isn't for you if

You want one-to-one advice on your specific business. The session is a group format and covers general principles, not bespoke implementation. The SetUp is the right fit for that.

You're already using AI actively in your business and want to go deeper technically. This session is for people who are starting out or still unsure, not for existing practitioners.

You want a certification or CPD hours. We're not a training provider. This is two business owners showing other business owners what actually works.

Who's behind this

Mark and Louise Stevenson, founders of The SetUp Crew

We're Mark and Louise. We've spent over ten years building businesses together, including a coworking space we sold and a mental health app called Luma that runs almost entirely on AI tools. We're not academics or consultants. We're founders who use this stuff to run real businesses, and we built The SetUp Session because we kept having the same conversations with other business owners who didn't know where to start.

Questions you might have

Is this online or in person?
The sessions run online. You'll get a link after booking. You just need a computer and an internet connection.
Do I need to know anything about AI before I come?
No. The session is designed for business owners who are curious but haven't done much with AI yet. You don't need any technical knowledge. If you've already used some AI tools, that's useful context, but it's not required.
What kind of businesses do you cover?
We work across lots of sectors but specialise in businesses where AI feels like someone else's problem: trades, hospitality, local professional services, independent retail, health and wellbeing. If that sounds like you, you'll get a lot out of it. If you're a tech company or already AI-heavy, you might find it too introductory.
Is there a sales pitch at the end?
We mention The SetUp at the end for people who want to go further, but there's no hard sell and no follow-up call. The session is useful on its own. We'd rather you leave thinking it was worth £87 than sit through a pitch.
How often do you run them?
Every couple of weeks. If the next session is full or doesn't work for you, the one after usually isn't far away. Check back or drop us an email and we'll let you know the dates.

90 minutes. Plain English. A real picture of what AI means for your business.

The next session is 3 July at 3pm. Places are limited to 20 people.
