Who's behind it
We're Mark and Louise Stevenson, based in Hereford. Mark spent years running business change projects, mainly in financial services. Louise's background is strategic communications across central government and financial services.
We built and sold our own coworking space, and a wellness app called Luma. We built AI Ready because we kept seeing the same gap in the businesses around us: good websites that AI search struggles to read. We tested it on our own sites before offering it to anyone else.
Questions
A Markdown (.md) file is a plain-text document. Think of it as a very clean version of a Word document, with no fancy formatting. AI tools find this format easy to read because there's nothing to get in the way. We write one for each of your key pages, and it sits at a web address that matches the page, so your /about page gets an /about.md file. Your visitors never see it. It's just there for the AI tools.
Realistically, 4 to 12 weeks. The first couple of weeks are about AI tools finding and reading your new files. Between weeks 2 and 6 you may start appearing in AI answers for searches that include your town or your business name. From week 6 to week 12, visibility usually starts to build more broadly. We include a plain-English handout on what to expect at each stage, so you're not left guessing.
Not necessarily. On most platforms (WordPress, Squarespace Business, Webflow, Wix with developer access, and any custom or AI-built site) the install is straightforward, and we include step-by-step instructions. If you'd rather not touch it yourself, our implementation service starts at £75 and we handle everything.
That's why we include a month-4 refresh offer. Most websites change over time: new services, updated prices, different messages. At month 4 we'll get in touch with a reduced-rate refresh so your files stay accurate. You're not locked in. It's just there if you need it.
No, this is working as designed. Your AI Ready file is served through a redirect from your own domain to a fast, secure host. Google treats a redirect as "the real content is over there", so in Search Console your web address shows as "Page with redirect" rather than "Indexed". That's normal for a redirect and isn't an error.
What matters for AI Ready is that the AI tools can read your file, and they can. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google's AI Overviews and Gemini all follow the redirect and read the content directly. So when one of them is answering a question about your business, it can draw on an accurate description in your own words, rather than piecing you together from other people's listings.
The one status that would signal a real problem is "Redirect error", which means Google couldn't follow the redirect at all. If you ever see that instead of "Page with redirect", let us know and we'll check it. Everything else is expected.
