The situation

Area Entertainments has supplied sound, lighting and LED screens for weddings, parties, gigs and corporate events across Herefordshire since 1981. For years, owner Greg Symonds had been paying Yell.com just under £300 a month for his website and online promotion. The website belonged to Yell, so every change meant contacting them and waiting.

He knew it was costing too much. What stopped him was the worry of losing years of people being able to find the business online.

What we did

Mark sat down with Greg and built a brand new website using Claude. Before anything was switched off, he moved the business's online history across, so every old page points to the new site and people searching still land in the right place. He set the site up to read properly for Google and for AI assistants like ChatGPT, and updated the Google Business Profile.

Then he sat with Greg while he made the call to Yell.

Once the new site was live, Louise wrote a press release and a social media pack so Greg could tell his customers and the local press about the change.

The result

The new website costs £9 a month. Greg can change it himself whenever he wants, and he still has a free listing on Yell.com, so customers can find him there too.

I always knew what that bill was costing us. What stopped me wasn't the money, it was the risk of losing years of people being able to find us. Once Mark had moved everything across and shown me nothing would break, the decision was easy, and he sat with me while I made the call to Yell.com. Now I've got a website I'm proud of, I can change it myself whenever I want, and the savings go straight back into the business.

Automation

Work Here

Instant

door access as soon as someone books

Automatic

access removed when their time is up

No one

needed on the door

The situation

Every time someone booked a desk or a room, someone had to create a door key in Salto KS, send it over, and remember to take it away again afterwards. It's the kind of job that feels fine at first and then quietly becomes the thing nobody wants to deal with.

What we did

Mark connected the space's online bookings to its Salto KS door access. When someone books, they get access straight away. When their time is up, it stops. New and returning guests are handled differently, and the whole thing runs without anyone needing to be involved.

We've since set up the same kind of automation for another coworking space, shaped around how they run things.

Mark made automating our guest access incredibly simple, taking the stress out of the setup and ensuring the new system fit perfectly with how we run things. His support has been brilliant both during the transition and since we've gone live, giving me total confidence that everything is working exactly as it should.
